This game dominated my life when I was 10-years-old...
Don't really understand why I was thinking about this, oh well...
It's completely ridiculous looking now, but when I was a kid this game was the most advanced and time consuming creation of all time. You would have to travel through time in order to solve puzzles and eventually save the world. Reminds me of another game I used to think about constantly, Kings Quest (a fav of mom-dukes)

Maniac Mansion: Day of the Tentacle is a graphical adventure game, originally released in 1993, and published by LucasArts. It is the eighth game to use the SCUMM engine. It was released simultaneously on floppy disk and CD-ROM. Day of the Tentacle was designed by Dave Grossman and Tim Schafer.
