2000 - Barry Sanders (on the cover but not featured) - Retired Abruptly
2001 - Eddie George - Missed 1000 yard mark/ Worst season since joining league
2002 - Dante Culpepper - Sprained MCL (Missed 4 games)
2003 - Marshall Faulk - Worst season since 1996
2004 - Michael Vick - Broken Leg (Missed 11 games)
2005 - Ray Lewis - Scared off the curse with pre-game tribal dance*
2006 - Donovan McNabb - Sports Hernia (Missed 6 games)
2007 - Shaun Alexander - Broken Foot (Missed 6 games)
2008 - Vince Young - Worst season in NFL (lost starting QB job)
2009 - Brett Favre - In a tribute cover, came back with the jets and suffered a horrible tarnishing of his legacy and a torn bicep... (HATE!)
2010 - Troy Polamalu/Larry Fitzgerald - Troy suffered a sprained MCL and looks to be out for 6 weeks. Larry has yet to play...
There is no way to know if these injuries would've been sustained regardless of the cover feature of course, but the coincidence is a bit strange. Be afraid Larry, be very afraid...
