Because no one wants to take pictures with the iPad. I want to list all the situations where the iPhone would be much more accessible and easier to take pictures with...but that would be a huge waste of my time. It's pretty obvious.
This made me chuckle. Nice dude.
I want an iPad that takes, at least reasonable quality photo's.
I would not expect DSLR quality, but if I am out and I have my iPad with me, and I wish to take a photo or a video, then at least I would like it to be of a quality that does the moment justice.
The silly thing about this argument is you are defending the indefensible.
There is no reason why a worse item is desirable over a better item all things being equal.
The only reasons are cost, size etc.
1mp camera's should have stopped being made years ago. There is no reason to deliberately make anything worse that you can, unless it's marketing and a planned strategy.

Have you ever been involved in the deployment of a multi-million dollar online store?
Have you ever walked backwards across the Sahara desert? That's an equally irrelevant question.
They put a link into the international stores. That isn't a complex update, and the amount of money the store generates doesn't make a difference.

i don't understand why some people would long for 12 inch ones when macbook is 13 inches. don't tell me 1 inch will make that big of a difference.
actually it makes a huge difference as the macbook screen is wide aspect, as opposed to the 12in powerbook, which has a squarer screen. the footprints of each are very different, with the MB being almost as large as a MBP's footprint!

I'm pretty surprised by coverage of these stories so far.
It's basically
Exploding DELL & APPLE batteries, manufactured by sony.
It really should be
SONY, who can't even build batteries worth a **** anymore let alone anything else, has screwed the pooch for Dell and Apple.
Well Apple certainly got more sensational coverage over their recall. Hence the Apple haters in my life barraging me with BS.

Are you satisfied with your Beats by Dre ?
I wasn't the original poster, but I've got a pair of these too and love them. The sound is phenomenal, however I have a big head (apparently) and they are a little tight.

makes it obvious that over 50% of the people on the Apple forums were and are blinded by only being able to "see the future" in terms of the past.
When I saw the iPod, I bought APPL stock at $20/share. It is now by far my biggest stock holding in terms of $$$.
Just had to check it: iPod was released Oct 23rd 2001 for $399. Assuming 8.25% sales tax that would be $431.92. That bought 23.8 AAPL shares at the closing prices of $18.14. There was a split, so you would have 47.6 shares worth $330.67 at close on March 18th, for a total of $15,740.
I conclude that all those people buying iPods had not the slightest clue how the Apple share price would develop :D

odd works for me too changing the last letter to a B instead of an A
The same is true for me. Is that supposed to be a glitch on their website, or they are that precise in picking out bad batteries from the bunch?

Again as I stated before... Apple is really starting to dabble in the 3D interface. The album art is a good example of this. Granted its a rip off of someone else's idea...No idea of the name of the app but I was playing around with it a few months back that did exactly this. *shrugs* Whatever.
It's not a rip off of anything. It IS that app. Apple bought it. It's in a post above somewhere. The company that originally developed it notes it on their website.

I am used to having no ammo from playing Marathon. "Wheres the ammo!"
I honestly do not mind at all. All the enemies drop weapons and ammo when killed, and as said, there are plenty of caches around. One just has to be quick switching from weapon to weapon. It would be nice if enemies ran out of ammo though....

Seriously... you all keep doing what you are doing... modern civilization will fall either way. We've been thieving from mother earth pretty heavily over the past 150 years so we'll get our's collectively as a species soon... no need to feel left out. In the meantime... I'll be keeping my $1500. Thanks.

Great product from Apple, and the rumors got it wrong with release date and screen size.

Excellent! I'll plan on saving a few bucks then to upgrade.
Thanks for the info.
Yes, they're a reasonable price, but keep in mind it's not going to be anywhere near $30.
If it's inline with previous OS X updates (besides snow leopard, which was a very special case of mostly under-the-hood improvements with fewer improvements that the user would notice), the it will be probably be around $100.

The report notes that Apple waited to adopt 3G technology until is had significantly matured
BS. 3G was fully matured at the time of release of the first Iphone. It had been commercially adopted for over 5 years at that point in time.

No kidding. So much for the "everyone already owns all The Beatles songs they want" mantra. ;)
Are you calling those people who bought the iTunes beatles songs stupid?

The Bible does not instruct believers today to stone or hate anyone. Please don't take things out of context. I agree that people do pick and choose (as you did in your post) the parts of the Bible they want to follow or use to justify their views and choices. In most cases they are taking these parts out of context on purpose or simply do not understand what they are reading or how it fits into the whole of the Bible.
This has been discussed in many threads and maybe later I'll reference the links, but simply put, please don't tell people the Bible instucts people to do things that it doesn't.
As far as what barkomatic is saying, sometimes I really wonder if people on here have a problem with reading comprehension. He's not arguing for religion.
The Bible says many good things and many bad things. I was highlighting some of the bad things to show how people do pick and choose. Consider Deuteronomy 13-
6 If thy brother, the son of thy mother, or thy son, or thy daughter, or the wife of thy bosom, or thy friend, which is as thine own soul, entice thee secretly, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which thou hast not known, thou, nor thy fathers ...
9 ... thou shalt stone him with stones, that he die; because he hath sought to thrust thee away from the LORD thy God.
This is pretty clear, and no amount of fitting in with the rest of the Bible or whatever is going to help.vThankfully, people ignore this today. In other words, people apply a moral standard when reading the Bible. The Bible doesn't lead to morality.
I'm disagreeing with barkomatic (and do understand what he is saying). I'm saying religion does not provide the basis for modern morality. I'm saying a structured moral code isn't necessary- it is already there as it is in part innate and in part social.

Before getting slapped... I guess if youre a billionaire you can shove earbuds into a strangers ear, but here in Real World USA the results would not be pretty. Do that with your girlfriend, I dont think ANYONE would want a stranger theyve known for 1 minute coming up to them and putting crap into their ear.
Yes, it would be rare for two people who hardly know each other to go start sticking icky things into icky parts of each other's bodies  :D
