Reading through this thread, I was wondering how many people defending the iPad are actually aware of its inherent shortcomings for professional users , and have actually used programs like Photoshop .
The iPad was never meant to be used by professionals, it is not compatible with pro apps and devices on a basic level, like colour spaces, connectivity, file import/export, tethering, to name a few .
As it's been pointed out before, finger gestures are a crutch, not an enhancement, just like they were since the introduction of trackpads .
SJ called the iPad a post-PC computer - nothing could be further from the truth.
It might help to develop better input devices in the future, but right now Apple doesn't seem to be part of it, aiming their products at a retro oriented crowd which is merely asking for simplification, instead of progress.

Got mine through this morning from the AppleStore. Its absolutely wicked! Very, very diddy and comes with this cool little docking station to charge it and interface with my Mac. Looking forward to a trip to the gym tonight... ;)

FACT: Apple doesn't access the database cache, emails, passwords, photos on your phone either.
Except, Apple says that they actually do access the location database:

what compound would you recommend? arctic silver seems to be the standard
I have only used Arctic Silver 5 and OCZ Ultra 5. Both are good. I have even read in a couple places that the OCZ is actually just repackaged Arctic Silver. The OCZ tends to be darker than others though.
In the end though the difference from the worst to the best paste is maybe 1-3C. Every bit does help though.
Be sure to only use a dab on each CPU raised middle that is about the size of a grain of rice. Any other pertinent info about the application of individual pastes will be in the included instructions.

Surely it's marginalized when the other companies are giving away their products for market share (and losing money in the same time).
Of course Apple is having great success today with its iOS ecosystem. However, I think we are near their zenith of market dominance and it will soon be downhill - eventually leading to stagnation and marginalization. We can see this happening with the iPhone; its market share is going down, not up. I think we will see the same trend come to the tablet market in the next year or two.
