Why do any of you care? None of you are seeing profit or loss in this situation.
Some of you sound pissed, like T.J. Maxx personally offended you by selling cheaper iPads.
Now is a good time to get one if you don't already have one. Stop arguing about warranty, you should be getting Apple care on your idevice anyway.

I know this is late, but I just bought season 2 of chuck and pleasantly surprised to find it in HD, and the file size seems to be the same as the SD format of season 1.

Here's my current set-up. I'm looking for a good xmas Mail icon and maybe one for Safari and FF. I know what I'd like, but I'm not a Photoshop guy at all. Also, the Mail icon looks like it's sitting on the dock in an odd manner. Kind of bugging me, but I can't find a different, Christmas-y one.
I love your desktop! Any chance you could give me a link for the icons you have (dock and the hard-drive icon which is awesome)?

I checked online, and it says you need FamilyTalk 1400 � 2100 plans for A-List. Guess it's not updated yet?
Called again. I did this change in the store. Rep said when you go from 1400 min to 700 min system will automatically disable a list.

those arent themes. the temp and weather are done by using GeekTool (http://projects.tynsoe.org/en/geektool/).

Here I am, refusing to buy any of the iTMS movies until the DRM is more like the music Fairplay (Either give me DVD video burning or cut the price in half!) and the Mediots at Universal, etc. are wanting to restrict things MORE? LOL.
Cold day in Hell till they get any of my $$$ ...
HDCP/HDMI, Broadcast flag, tighter restrictions on iTMS movie downloads? Heh, they really don't want my $$$ that badly, do they?

I saw the Swedish "Millennium series" films a few months back a couldn't help notice that when the protagonist was (wrongly) sent to prison, it looked more like a college dormitory than anything you'll see here in America.

First off way to respond to the least important point in my post, i actually kind of expected that out of you. Treating them humanely and treating them like they're staying at a five star hotel are two different things. You're not supposed to make it so nice that people want to go there to escape the real world. Why should my tax dollars go to playstations and internet access for child molesters and murderers? That's beyond humane, that's just plain idiotic. Why don't we just provide them with their own butlers and maid service while we're at it? How about a cell phone too? :rolleyes: What a joke, this forum sometimes feels like the twilight zone.
Despite what you, I, or a victim's family might want, incarceration is not punishment. Incarceration is the protection of the public.
Of course it's for the protection of the public, but it's also not supposed to be a pleasant experience, it's supposed to suck. If you don't think that, i don't know what else to tell you, you're just too separated from reality at this point to turn back.

When I got my iPad 2, I had been having this issue. But once I updated to 4.3.1 I haven't had this problem. Did 4.3.1 fix this issue for anyone else or do some of you still have this problem?

Hi. Thanks for the kind advice. I really appreciate it. I know you're right about my pricing. I need to get an organized pricing plan together. I don't know if I'm shooting myself in the foot by charging hourly? I know some designers charge by the type of job and the type of labor it entails (conceptual vs. layout, etc.). Most clients are going to want a quote, so that's what you need to give them. However, if a particular client is happy to pay by the hour, you can choose to do it that way too. Whichever way you do it, communication needs to be clear, so the client doesn't get a nasty shock at the end of the job.
When doing a quote, you're really estimating the number of hours it's going to take you anyway. Estimating accurately is hard when you start, but like anything you get better at it the more you do. I actually created a program to help do estimates eventually, because I hated doing it so much, and it saves me a lot of time.

That makes a lot of things hard for you I think, because in working for someone else you get to learn an awful lot that they won't have taught you at the school. Perhaps you're really set on sticking to the plan of going straight into business, but if it were me, I'd want to do at least a year in another design studio before going out on my own. You see how they do things and can adopt the good, and learn from the not-so-good.
Anyway, whichever way you decide to go, I certainly wish you all the best. :)

So Samsung believed Apple was violating it's patents all this time but decided to do nothing about it. Now that they have been pushed they decide to act. Sounds to me they are trying to find whatever they can to bite back at Apple.

so let get this straight AT&T is pretty much going to increase the number of minutes I do not use every month. My family already is on the lowest family plane for 5 lines and still put over 500 Roller in the account for per month. Well currently we lose about that many per month.
