This week I lost 1.4 pounds, which I'm actually not that mad about. I ate out Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights and though I made decent choices, it's never as good as eating at home where I can really regulate the calories. I definitely could have amped up my exercise this week but I did cross another 13.13 miles off--5.39 of which came from a wonderful walk with the pooch yesterday morning. Next week I'm going to get back in to my weekly sessions with my Personal Trainer which should help a ton.
On a similar note, I'm sure a lot of you have heard about the study that came out today. I read about it in the Star Tribune and then saw it again on the Today Show. This study is saying that woman over 40 need to get an hour of moderate exercise every day, seven days a week to MAINTAIN their shape. The study mentioned that women tend to gain 1-1.5 pounds each year, which means when I'm 45 I'll be 20-30 pounds heavier than I am now! Yikes! The study does not, however, take in to account calorie intake. It's pretty interesting...take a look "An hour a day keeps the weight away?"
