Alexis and Todd's wedding

Back in July, we had the pleasure of working with Alexis and Todd on their wedding day. Growing up in Tarpon Springs, Alexis had always envisioned her wedding at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Cathedral. The church is breath taking and is well known for its beauty. There, they had a traditional Greek wedding ceremony followed by a reception at Innisbrook Resort. This was a really fun and unique wedding to plan!!! Alexis incorporated a lot of traditions and special touches into her and Todd’s wedding. As a well known tradition, she had a blue glass eye pinned to her garter. Since ancient times, this eye wards off any evil spirits. Another Greek tradition was that Alexis had all the single bridesmaids’ names on the bottom of her shoes and ribbons sewn into her dress. This symbolizes good luck and the first name to wear off the shoe, means the next to get married. After the ceremony, guests headed over to Innisbrook for the reception. There they dined and danced the night away. Since Todd and Alexis are not fans of the traditional wedding cake, we did a brownie cake instead. Guests were entertained by the traditional Greek dancing as well as a DJ. At the end of the evening, Todd and his friends, serenaded Alexis with a Back Street Band song, which was too cute for words. Thanks to all of the great vendors that made this a special day!!!
