It would be great if Apple offered the ability to stream 1080i content wirelessly to my home theater, but that's not feasible yet, is it?
It would be thrilling if Apple released this ultraportable with a docking station computer. I'd be all over that, but it has nothing to do with being "in the air."
It would be amazing if Apple announced some kind of joint venture with Google to offer nationwide WIFI, but that's nowhere near being feasible.

Ok, I see your point. But when does the consumer stand up and say "I DON'T WANT WINDOWS ON MY COMPUTER" and force the Dells to load something else besides Windows. If the OS was so undesirable, the consumer would have been up in arms. Dell sells computers with Linux preloaded, but I don't see Linux making any dent in anyones armor.
You missed my point. Microsoft makes many of its billions by selling directly to OEMs, who have no choice but to buy the latest Windows OS from Microsoft. This insures that every one of Microsoft's OS releases is a automatic "success." They sell billions worth, no matter how undesirable it may be in reality.
I'm going to stop, dont want be called a troll, just making convo.

Aside from a few tidbits, FCX is (finally) catching up to many features that other NLEs have had for several years.

*WARNING* The following post was posted without me having read the previous 7 pages of posts.
I use to have an eReader. It was excellent for reading books in bed. Unfortunately, you couldn't read books in the bath, at the beach, in sunlight, or anywhere where you could drop it. Actually you could pretty much only read books in bed.
eBooks aren't the future, they are the past. There is a reason the craze didn't take off last time. You just can't beat a book.

They already came out.
Perhaps he meant the C2D MBP's?
Store's back up. Doesn't look like there was an update to anything. Odd.

Well, don't believe him. The fact that there already is a 15" MBP should be evidence that Apple will never release a 15" MBP.
Sorry. I meant to say that he told me there will be a 15 inch MacBook:rolleyes:

According to Yahoo they've been upgraded in regards to CPU (obviously), RAM and HD... so pretty much the same as the MBP's two weeks ago.
Edit: And double layer superdrive too...
Isn't the RAM the same? Unless they are putting single chips in as opposed to double to make store bought upgrades simpler.

Where's that Adobe rep who was on the FCP threads a few days ago promoting Premiere? Oh, he's with Bruce Sharp talking about buying Singular Software?
I will not buy PluralEyes. Audio sync is built into FCP X.

I don't think either of those albums exhibit that -- the first four British albums in stereo do, but they've never been available on CD in stereo, just mono. Rubber Soul has a few songs that don't work well in headphones (eg Girl) but Revolver is mixed well!
My point is, the ping-pong effect, when it was used, was deliberate. It does sound strange now, but I remember when these albums came out people listened to them on headphones and thought the effect was cool.
I'm no Beatles historian by any means, but correct me if I'm wrong: weren't the first albums recorded in mono? The stereo versions were later, rather crude simulations of stereo, which is why they never made it to CD.

Apologies...if it has already been discussed...I am at an airport, and dont have the time to scroll through all the pages before my flight departure:

Looks like a hoax to me anyway.....
lol good instinct. It is a hoax and it has been discussed... ad nauseum. Someone from here went and gave 9to5 a "tip" to see if he'd post it, and he did, so we know to discount everything that ever comes up on that website. Have a good flight.

Well, I love iTunes 7
Fantastic
the get album art is SICK
the album scroll view is SICK
the gapless playback is well you get the idea!
I love it!
Just put it on my PC at work, and it's awesome
I'm a little concerned about putting it on my Mac at home because of the massive 140 gig library that it will have to process...
Hopefully it goes well,

It's funny because there are devices that allow you to do these things.

Don't worry.
If the Chinese economy keeps growing at the same rate over the next decade they will be setting up manufacturing plants in the USA to take advantage of the cheap American labour. ;)
Doubt it, American labor unions will never allow that. haha. Plus, China won't have problems finding labor in the country.

I guess if her main criteria for car choice is killing people in small cars then she has picked the right car.
Yep. Hear it all the time. "Protect my family", "Keep my family safe". In other words, kill the other party so that your offspring may live. The attitude needs to change. Yugo's for everyone.

I assume you mean headless tower since all the iMacs and the MAC Mini are desktops......... Oh wait, isn't the MAC Pro a headless tower?
It's a workstation, not a desktop. Apple need to plug that gap something serious!

Do those in the anti-piracy camp have major issues with someone who pirates Adobe products, but doesn't "profit" from them?....i.e doesn't make even enough money to cover the costs of the original products or even makes zero dollars?
Yes. It's stealing, download a trial version and if you like it buy it. If not go get a cheaper solution elsewhere.
I give it one more year, and Adobe's products will be entirely replaceable by App store Apps that will be SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper. Developers will be making their money, the apps will be cheap enough that piracy won't be as big of an issue, and everyone will be happy (except Adobe....and those heavily invested into their software model, and business).
People have been saying this for a decade and instead the competition has been eaten or don't exist anymore. There is more than Adobe's apps but the entire collaboration between native files within the suite.
Could it happen? Sure. But they will have be big enough to fight a buyout buy Adobe and/or come out with an entire suite (page layout, photo and web etc) to directly compete as a 'package' to really make in the professional realm of agencies etc.
