Shellii and Mike's Military.....yet Tropical Inspired Wedding

Last month, Shellii and Mike married at the historic Scared Heart Catholic Church in Downtown Tampa. The groom, Mike, is an officer in the United States Marine Corps so they had a military wedding with the sword detail and everything! They even had a Lt. Col from the Australian Army as one of the sword escorts, which was kind of neat.

They also incorporated Shellii's love of the tropics into their ceremony ... once the ceremony was complete her maid of honor moved the hibiscus flower in her hair to the other side.... a Hawaiian tradition, Hawaii is where they went for their honeymoon.

Shellii and Mike decided to have their wedding reception at the beautiful and also historic Don CeSar Beach Resort. With Shellii's love for the beach this was the perfect venue for them. She really wanted a tropical wedding reception with accents of her favorite flower, the red hibiscus. We centered the wedding and reception around the flower, from their invitations, to their cake, to the bouquets and their escort cards.
