A couple weeks ago we got our best glimpse yet of the refreshed 2011 Dodge Charger. It was such a clean look, we wouldn’t be surprised if it was a setup. But who cares? We got to see the new face of the Charger, which isn’t all that different from the old face of the Charger. It’s a refresh after all, not a complete redesign.
It did, however, give us enough to generate this photo illustration of the complete car, especially since Dodge has been kind enough to throw out a few hints over the last year or so.
As you can see, this version of the Charger will incorporate more heritage cues from the original Charger coupe. Whether it works or not is up to you, we think it a pretty solid improvement given that this isn’t a full redesign.
There will be plenty of changes under the hood too. Chrysler’s new Pentastar V6 will take over as the base engine. The slightly larger 3.6-liter V6 will not only generate nearly 300 horsepower, it will still manage to deliver at least 25mpg according to Dodge. The 5.7-liter V8 will remain while the SRT model is expected to get a 6.4-liter V8 with around 450-hp.
