Wishful Wednesday

Happy Hump Day everyone! If you're in need of some blog post inspiration head on over to Kelsey's blog and link up for:

Today's top is:
'I wish'...I had ______store
as my personal closet
and could shop from it daily.

I wish I could have Bebe as my personal store! I love that store! Their clothes are so unique and stylish yet they have classic items as well. Plus they have killer shoes, great handbags and bangin' jewelery. It's your one stop shop! Here are some of the Bebe looks/items I am currently drooling over!

On another note. I made a super delicious and super healthy meal last night (and J loved it) so I thought I'd share it with you.

Wishful Wednesday...Lost

It's Wishful Wednseday over at The Seattle Smith's and today's topic is....

'I wish' .... I hadn't lost ______!!

I wish I hadn't lost my charm bracelets. Remember those Italian Charm bracelets that were major popular like eight years ago? Well I loved mine and it was stolen.
It meant the world to me. I had a ton of different links from a ton of different people. Each link not only represented me but the person who gave it to me and our relationship. It was stolen at the Community Pool. I had it locked safe in a locker and when I left I forget them. Not more than five minutes later I went back and they were gone. No one had turned them in, I called every day for a month and they never showed up. I still don't understand how someone could have taken it. Those charms wouldn't mean anything to them.

I remember one of my favorite charms was a bee (fitting, I know).
My high school guidance counselor (who is now a close family friend) gave it to me as a graduation gift. Not only was our school mascot a Hornet but I called her Mrs. B. It was the perfect gift and meant so much to me. That was the start of the bee theme in my life!

Wishful Wednesday...Career!

This week's Wishful Wednesday is a tough one, since I just started a new career. Owning my own business, so far, has been really stressful and exhausting but also incredibly rewarding and exciting. My hope is to stick with this career and be successful at so that I have the time and finances to travel and then someday comfortably start a family. But, since "the job I have" is not what anyone wants to hear.....

'I wish' .... I had the opportunity to change careers and it would be to become a WEDDING PLANNER!
As I mentioned in this post: "'Tis the Season..." I am completely obsessed with weddings. I love them, all of them. I love reading about them, watching shows about them, looking at pictures of them. Plus, I LOVE to plan parties...which a pretty important credential when being a Wedding Planner. I buy every wedding magazine on the shelf...and I'm not even getting married! I am just fascinated by weddings and I love learning about them. The possibilities are endless when it comes to a person's wedding. Each ceremony and reception are completely individual to the couple, and I love that.
To stick with the theme I thought I'd end with a montage of pictures from some of the amazing wedding I've been to!

Weigh In and Wishful Wednesday

Yes! Success! I restarted this weight loss/get in shape/get healthy plan on Friday and since I have already lost 1.8 pounds! Wahoo! On top of that I get to cross 19.73 miles off of my 500 mile goal!!! I am super excited and super proud of myself---even though my legs fee like complete moosh! That’s right, moosh! On Monday I even beat a personal record! Now, this may not sound like much but for someone who hates running, never tries to run and has a personal record of 1.2 miles without stopping 1.59 miles is a HUGE deal! I don’t know where it came from, but it felt great. I tried to run this morning and made it just barely over half a mile and my legs gave out on me. My friend Carolyn and I have also decided to commit to running a 5k then end of June. This way, hopefully, we can keep each other on track while training AND more importantly have a running buddy during the race!

I have also decided to start a 12 week program to help me lose these last pounds and get healthy. The program is called Transitions Lifestyle and the basis of the program is education, which is exactly what I need. I don’t need a crash diet or to spend all my time counting calories or points. I need something that will teach me how to be healthy and stay healthy. They pride themselves on teaching you how to eat not what you can or cannot eat. Like I said, the program is 12 weeks and each week is a different lesson teaching you how different foods affect your body and how your body breaks down those foods. I will have a coach and meet with a group once a week.  I have agreed to have the meetings here at Coffee Buzz to give us some exposure AND because of it my coach is hooking me up with the program for next to nothing! The only scary part is the first week is a cleanse! Luckily, I love fruits and veggies but it’s going to be tough. We’re planning on starting June 1st, so be looking for updates on this program. I’m excited to get started!

So, some of my favorite blogs (Life in the Fulmer Lane, Life, Love & Puppyprints, and The Seattle Smith's) play a little blog game called "Wishful Wednesday" each week and I decided since "Weigh In Wednesday" is definitely my least exciting post of the week, I would play along and add some fun into my Wednesdays! So...

Bedrooms!

To be honest, I got pretty stressed out by this topic. First of all, Coffee Buzz's air conditioning is broken so it is about 95 degrees in here, so any kind of thinking/decision making is incredibly difficult for me as I am sweating through my brain. Second of all, I kept trying to find a picture of what I wished I could make my bedroom look like, which I realize is not the point! The point is to find a bedroom that I would never create for myself but WISH (key word here) I could have. Now you all know full well that I'm not just going to post one picture. So here are some I wish I had....

LOVE! This would be perfect in a downtown loft! Total girl! This would be a wishful pre-J bedroom.

How serene and gorgeous and beautiful is this? I could never have this in MN though! There is nothing worse than trying to sleep with the sound of a mosquito buzzing around your head! But I love this nonetheless.

Leave it to Nicki Hilton to create my total dream bedroom! If you know me at all you know that my color palette doesn't extend much past black and white (you should see Coffee Buzz!) I love this! I am super into gray walls right now and I think a lighter slate gray would go really great with this room. I'm sure J would feel right at home in here! ha!
This one is a more realistic idea of what I would want. Like I said, I'm in to gray and I LOVE the teal accents.

I really love the bookshelves instead of night stands! How fun!And...more gray!

Only thing I like about this one is the amazing headboard and the wall color.

And I love this one for the rug, bench & pillows and of course the chandelier. If you read this: Lights. Chandelier. Action, than you know I am obsessed with chandeliers!

So there you have it! My far fetched Wishful Bedrooms and my maybe someday Wishfuls! Go check out the other blogs I mentioned to see some more amazing bedrooms! And check out The Seattle Smith's if you want to play along!

Back in Action

Boating weather is knocking on my door, so you know what that means….the dreaded swimsuit. We are just weeks away from potential pool/boat weather which means I really need to kick my booty into gear, literally. I need to get back on track; I’ve been doing ok but haven’t really been keeping track of calories or working out….at all. I need to get my behind to the gym. The sheer fact that I’m paying for it should be enough motivation, but it’s not. I always have an excuse…I’m tired, I just worked 13 hours, I’m too hungry, I’d rather be laying in bed with my puppy. But no more! I think I’ve come up with a schedule that is not only reasonable but completely doable. Each week J and I each get 1 day off, a day to sleep in and a day to leave early, I need to use these days to my advantage. AND, on Friday (the day J and I work open to close together) he has agreed to let me take a little break part way through the day to squeeze in a workout. The gym is literally one block away, so I can easily skip out for an hour and get a quick run in. I also need to make sure my little one is getting some exercise and I have that 500 mile goal looming—so I figure at an absolute minimum I can run a mile and walk a mile with Bailey every day. On days I can’t get to the gym because of work, I’ll walk the pooch. There's 230 days (including today) left in 2010 and I have 367.95 miles to go, which means I need to do AT LEAST 11.15 miles a week to make my goal, so 1.59 a day! So, to keep me in check, here’s the schedule:

FRIDAY

*Weekends will depend on my work schedule and social plans…come on, I need some fun in my life!

On a somewhat related note, one of our regular customers is a nutritionist who has been working hard to create a meal replacement bar. Recently, she passed her inspection and got all her licenses and the okay to make her bars, they’re called “Wellie’s.” The point of the bar to replace a meal, not supplement it like say a Clif Bar. She brought us a bunch of samples and they’re pretty good, definitely filling! I really hope they take off, so I thought I’d show you the side by side comparison between a Wellie Bar and a Clif Bar. Might as well use another chart…

There’s definitely advantages to both, however, eating a Clif Bar as a complete meal is unlikely…that would never fill you up. The Wellie uses organic, humane and pasture based ingredients AND when you read the ingredients you actually know what they are, instead of just a bunch of scientifically produced taste profiles. I highly recommend these Wellie Bars and once I know where they’re being sold, I’ll let you know. Until then, check out the website: www.eatwellies.com

Alright, I’m off! Wish me look and stay tuned for Weigh In Wednesdays!
