Olivia Wilde Looks Pretty Good in Grey

Olivia Wilde Looks Pretty Good in Grey

Olivia Wilde Looks Pretty Good in Grey

This is not the first time we’ve seen Olivia Wilde in a grey ensemble. You might remember the gorgeous grey satin dress Olivia wore at the launch of Escadas new perfume a few weeks back. Well, fast forward and I think Olivia has found a color that looks good on her. Frankly, I have no problem when anyone hones in on what looks good on them. In fact, I encourage it!

When I first looked at these pictures I thought the dress she is wearing reminded me of a dress Renee Zellweger wore a little while back. But alas, that is not the case. Instead, Olivia is pictured here wearing a Helmut Lang knee-length gray dress with nude Brian Atwood platform pumps topped off with a great black leather jacket. Once again, her entire look is flawless. And guess what – this is just what she wore in and out of the David Letterman Show. She had a completely different and none-the-less gorgeous outfit while on the show. Sigh, what a life.

she has the most enviously beautiful hair in Hollywood (although we don’t see much of it in these pictures), and what makes me even more jealous is that it appears to be all hers.

Anyway, on to the outfit. Kate picked a mod-inspired white Versace cocktail dress to wear to the premiere of her new movie Going the Distance, and she accentuated the dress’s 60s reference with a flipped ponytail and a bit of height at the front part of her ‘do. I wish she would have accessorized a little more creatively – her black shoes are serviceable but boring, as is her black Armani clutch. She almost always looks fantastic, but her look here is merely good.

Naomi Watts attended the New York premiere of “Nine” at the Ziegfield Theatre looking flawless. Naomi is one actress that I’ve expected to look gorgeous more often than not. Here, she hits the nail on the head with her Marchesa Raspberry Silk Crepe Sculpted Sheath Dress and Marchesa Metallic Karung Clutch with beveled crystal clasp. I love the rich contrast of color between her dress and clutch. Flawless.

if you ever had any doubt that the VS girls are as gorgeous in day-to-day life as they are when they’re all done up for a photo shoot or publicity tour, well, these should serve to erase that doubt. She looks like she’s barely wearing a stitch of makeup, her hair is in a SCRUNCHIE, for god’s sakes, and she still looks like a ridiculously attractive supermodel. Some people have all the genetic luck.

Plus, in some of them, she’s eating ice cream. You know what I look like when my hair is in a sloppy ponytail and I’m eating ice cream? Well, suffice it to say, not like that.

Claire Danes wins an Emmy as well as a Best Dressed nod

Angela Chase has come a long way indeed. It might be hard for fans of My So-Called Life to come to grips with the poised, elegant young woman who Claire Danes has turned into since her debut as a surly, plaid-wearing teenager, but at the 2010 Emmy Awards last night, it was hard to ignore.

Sparkling in champagne-colored Armani PrivĂ©, Danes had one of the biggest nights of her career, winning an Emmy for her starring role in Temple Grandin. She couldn’t have picked a more perfect ensemble in which to do it – the column dress fit her expertly and turned more than a few heads. It also probably convinced a couple of people that it’s possible to be glitzy without being gaudy – as long as the person dressing you is Giorgio Armani, that is.

perhaps Blake Lively has been all over supermodel Heidi Klum’s style for the past couple of years and I’ve just neglected to realize it. Either way, both leggy blondes seem partial to Marchesa minidresses, although Lively didn’t appear to be in attendance at last night’s 2010 Emmy Awards.

Heidi was, however, presumably in support of Project Runway, and I doubt it’s a coincidence that Marchesa is owned by Georgina Chapman, who is married to Harvey Wienstein, the man who owns Runway’s production company. I’m not mad at her, though – if my legs were as long as Heidi’s (or Blake’s) and I had access to Marchesa, the company’s extremely ornate minidresses would be all I wore. Props to Heidi for going against the grain in a way that’s still event-appropriate
