I'm Vanessa from My Heart Blogged. I blog from Cleveland, Ohio, and I believe that it doesn't need to cost you a lot of money to look great. My favorite things are thrifting shopping, and scouring clearance racks for amazing deals. My mantra is that real everyday women have a place in fashion.
What is the coolest thing in your wardrobe?
Probably my two pairs of yellow flats. I had a pair in high school that I loved until they fell apart. For years I had been obsessed with finding a new pair. Up until last year I couldn't find yellow flats anywhere. Now I have two pairs that I love to bits, and pieces. I feel like yellow shoes can brighten up any outfit, and really stand out.
Is there any direction you want to take your blog?
I always have wanted to keep my blog a budget fashion blog. Most people don't have a lot of money to spend on fashion. With a little work, you can save a lot of money, and still get the things you want. I love writing about thrifting, and repurposing things you already own.
What do you think are the 5 essential things for your wardrobe?
Easy to wear dresses. You can quickly throw it on, and look great. Flats, because I don't wear heels. Cardigans to add color, or a little something extra. Unique accessories to add more personality to outfits. Wide leg trousers. I have a pair of amazing Express (thrifted) trouser jeans which can be easily dressed up or down.
Who is your celebrity crush?
I'm going to get all mushy gushy on you. I have been with my boyfriend for almost five years, and I think he is the hottest thing on earth. Don't get me wrong I find other guys good looking. There is just something about someone having your heart, and loving you for who you are that makes them extra sexy. Oh, and he is an aspiring chef. Which really doesn't hurt.
If you were down to your last $10 what would you spend it on?
If I already had the practical things like food, and gas, I would go get a new treasure from the thrift store. In a perfect world I would find a great pair of red skinny pants. Which has become my new obsession.
