2011 Hyundai i10 Indian Brochure Leaked

The folks at Indian Cars Bikes have posted the scans of the brochure of the refreshed 2011 Hyundai i10 for the Indian market today. The Hyundai i10 is an important vehicle for Hyundai in India, so the upcoming facelift is a crucial one for the Korean automaker's position in the Indian market. And by taking a look at these leaked brochure scans, Hyundai appears to have done a good job in updating the i10 for the fiercely competitive segment it plays in.

According to Indian Cars Bikes, "The car has been given a 1.2L kappa 2 engine with VTVT technology which develops a peak power of 69 PS. Along with this the car maker is also giving an option of 1.1 iRDE 2 engine. The new 1.2L kappa 2 is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission and will give a mileage of 20.36 Kmpl."

New features added to the 2011 Hyundai i10 for the Indian market include side mirrors with integrated turn signals, Bluetooth hands-free connectivity, USB/AUX inputs, driver seat height adjustment and steering wheel mounted audio controls. The instrument cluster is also redesigned with a first-in-class gear shift indicator for better fuel economy.

Paris Preview: Hyundai i10 Refreshed for 2011

Hyundai has finally taken the wraps off the 2011 i10, ahead of its official unveiling scheduled for later this month at the Paris Motor Show. Hyundai's popular city car receives an all new front fascia for its mid-cycle facelift, incorporating the brand's corporate hexagonal front grille. In addition to the new grille, the new Hyundai i10 gets a new set of headlamps as well as side mirrors with integrated turn signals.

From the lone photo we received from Hyundai, it appears that little else has changed for the new i10 other than the redesigned alloy wheels. From our recent spy shots, the 2011MY i10 also receives a redesigned rear bumper and revised taillamps. The interior, from our spy shot post before, seems nearly untouched, so expect only minor trim/equipment changes there.

More significant than the styling updates, however, are the changes underneath the hood as the i10 receives a new 1.0-litre three-cylinder engine with 68-horsepower and less than 100g/km CO2 emissions.

The i10 will make its world premiere along with the new ix20 MPV at this month's Paris Motor Show.

Spied: Hyundai i10 Facelift Caught in India

Thanks to the folks at Overdrive, we now have our first glimpse at the upcoming facelift of the Hyundai i10 minicar. Holding a sizable share of the minicar segment in India, it is fitting for the new i10 to have been found in that country's roads today. The new Hyundai i10 sports a number of design changes for the new year, as well as being powered by an updated version of the 1.2-liter Kappa engine.

The biggest change to the 2011 Hyundai i10 is the redesigned front fascia which now features Hyundai's corporate hexagonal grille, as well as new headlamps and lower air intakes. If the look seems familiar to you, that's because we already had a preview of the new i10 with the recently unveiled BlueOn electric car. The rear bumper and taillamps are also slightly revised for 2011, while the interior doesn't seem to have incurred any changes.

According to Overdrive, the 2011 Hyundai i10 "will be powered by an updated version of the 1.2-liter Kappa engine with VVT - variable valve timing which will give it better low end responsiveness, better fuel efficiency and tighter emission compliance." It is also expected to receive a mild 2 PS bump. The new i10 will also be available with an automatic transmission, the only other car in the segment offering that option being the Maruti-Suzuki A-Star. Hyundai will also continue offering the 1.1-liter engine, albeit at a lesser price.

Expect the facelifted Hyundai i10 to make its global debut at this year's Paris International Motor Show in October.

Many thanks to Navdeep for the hat tip!
