Caught this movie today and forgot how awesome it was. Terry Gilliam's time traveling, sci-fi apocalyptic thriller "set" in Philadelphia (where the destruction begins) was released in 1995, sandwiched between 2 great Brad Pitt movies (Se7en, Sleepers). Although technically Bruce Willis was the star of Twelve Monkeys, Brad Pitt stole the show as the eccentric son of a noble prize winning scientist and leader of the 12 Monkeys Army. This is when he officially went from being a pretty boy, pussy actor (see Legend of the Fall, Interview with the Vampire) and started the transition to becoming the man (see Tyler Durden, Rusty Ryan).
