
And apparently, one would be wrong... or would they? Local meteorologists are describing the coming weather system as a "snowcane." I truly believe many of these stations have reliable meteorologists and I'm not one to question their forecasting ability (usually), but I have to wonder if the term 'Snowcane' actually exists or did we already have a blizzard this winter season and this was next on the synonym list.
Call me skeptical, I looked it up:

Not that I disagree that this will be a massive storm with blowing winds and heavy snowfall, but why the hell do we have to make up words to scare people into believing it's going to be severe.
Just say "This is going to be a big ass storm"... That is all.
