Amorim Announces Retirement as Haverford Men's Soccer Coach
(January 20) - Haverford men's soccer coach Joe Amorim announced his retirement today effective June 30. Amorim coached 26 seasons with the Fords, compiling a 215-223-32 record. He won three Middle Atlantic Conference Southern Division titles, winning the overall MAC crown in 1988 with a victory against undefeated and top-ranked Elizabethtown in the final. Amorim's 1992 squad won a school-record 17 matches.

Have sweeter words ever been spoken? NO

How amazing is it that we got rid of George W. Bush and Joe Amorim on the same day. What a wonderful day for the world and Haverford College alike.

It's about damn time!

I couldn't be happier for the guys on that team to finally have someone who is passionate about coaching, teaching, soccer or life in general taking over that team. I don't know who will be taking his job, but, honestly it doesn't matter.
