I have few questions on filling AP document.
1) What could be the best reason to write on 131 document. USCIS says it should be family emergency or business. I am going on family visit. If i write "Family visit" will it be a problem ie RFE from USCIS saying that reason for travel is not good or something else.
2) I live in Phoenix, Arizona. Should i send 131 to texas service center or california. All my 485 & 140 were with TSC. Coz when i goes to USCIS website, Arizona state is not covered by TSC.

Thanks for responding. What happens when we get a RFE or NOID. Could we respond by ourself then? My case is not complicated at all. As straight forward as it could get.

RFE and NOID come with a color sheet of paper with your details and some USCIS internal codes for your case. You can respond by yourself and put the sheet on top - this is for the mailroom to handle your case

Thank you for replying.
I believe when I was young I entered with family visit visa, then I re-entered the country using a re entry visa. I assume both has expired for awhile now, although my I 94 doesn't state an expiration date, it stats "ans or status" Could you explain what that means?

My opinion, this a good example that immigration not so bad for US. With good immigration we would had filed our position and not took an american job.
One of my friend is trying to recruit SAP guy in FL but he is not able to get GC guy due to pay. His company is not able to pay more than 110K.

Thanks for sharing your experience.. BTW, were you using your AP for the first time? I have heard that while traveling on AP you need to go through secondary screen, which takes time. Is that true?
Yes you have to go to secondary inspection. Time depends on how many other people are referred to secondary inspection. There will be some with AP some with other issues. In my case, there were 7-8 people ahead of us and it took close to 90 minutes.

I had the same experience. However, my POE was Miami. No questions asked. My spouse and I just waited (with our USC daughter) in secondary inspection till they called my name and handed over our papers to me.

Hi everyone, If you have a H1B visa in your passport valid until Sep. 30 of 2009, but had quit from your old job in Nov. 2008 and are currently out of USA. Is it still possible to transfer your H1B to another employer and return back to USA on the old visa?

Very Interesting set of links. We need to respond to each of these journalists thanking for any positive coverage but also highlighting the specific issues that is causign the backlog (7% per country limit and lack of visa recapture). We need to request that attention be paid to this aspect and how removal of per-country limit is neccessary to eliminate the greencard backlogs (and that visa recapture will at least provide limited relief). Most of such articles praise high-skilled immigrants but do not get to the root of the issue and the possible solutions. We need some folks to help with this IV media outreach. Please PM me if you are interested.
