Be careful with what you post on this thread.

I have applied EAD renewal to AZ lock box. It was delivered on Mar 29. I have not got any receipt so far. Also check is not cashed.
Now it is 30 days and I should be able to call USCIS.
I have two questions:
1. Mail was sent with delivery confirmation, which confirms delivery on Mar 29. What if the package is lost there? Could I applying again? How USCIS treats two applications?
2. I have not received any receipt, except I have delivery slip from Post Office. In counting 90 days, is it taken based on receipt or based on Post Office slip?

Reminder: Those living in highrise apartments or large apartment complex should put up the names of their family members on the mail box such that the green card mails are not returned to the USCIS. Under the current USCIS policy, the U.S. Postal Services are not permitted to deliver the USCIS enevelope with "Return Requested" red stamp other than the specific individual named on the envelope. This is particularly true with the green card delivery.

I still don't think flash and silverlight are comparable, they'll be used for different things in the end anyways.
Well yeah, Flash and Silverlight are not comparable... Flex and Silverlight are... Anyway, I don't think that the guys at Adobe will just sit on their butts and do nothing to keep up the pace with all the other technologies... as Senocular said, Silverlight and C# are a beast but every technology has it's advantages and disadvantages... I wouldn't worry about the future of Flash / Flex, I'm sure we'll be still using those technologies even in 10 years from now ( but maybe under a different name and with different features ).

We should be thanking Zoe Logfrien(sp?) and all the senators who wrote to DHS and any public figure who supported us.
Instead of flowers , how about sending Thank you cards to emilio and Zoe.
We should also thank emilio for recognising his mistake and reversing it .
I hope there are no sarcastic remarks against the agencies from our members.We have to be humble and dignified.
And last but not the least do we now start a campaign to help all those who are stuck in backlog. No guys we dont forget you while we rejoice , I hope the core members come up with a plan to take this up soon..

Thank your for ur reply....What about I-129 petition & withdrawal letter...Is there anything that protects me which states that i have a right to get a copy of documents - petition, letter, etc,...from employer. Can somebody point me in the right direction to so that i have a case in point.!

I am thinking of Murthyas as lawyer. Her fee of taking over pending $ 2100, Can anybody suggest any other lawyer and there Fee's etc and all.
I will really appreciate the help.
I am about to ask my lawyer also for a quote on this. Does that 2k include your dependents also? (Also, I am assuming its for everything, including MTRs, RFEs, Appeals, help with contacting senators if needed etc. that is right?). Does it also including filing for APs and EADs, or would those be all extra (USCIS fees would ofcourse be separate)

Hi,
I have completed 6 years on my H1 and then got a 3 year extension as my 140 was approved when I applied for H1 renewal. This is all with my current company where I am working on H1 and they have applied for my GC also. I also have a valid EAD till 2010 which I am not using currently.
If I get a new job, can I transfer my H1 and still keep my GC process going on or do I have to switch to using EAD at the new job instead of H1 ?
Basically, am wondering if we can transfer H1 and that way have a backup just in case of any issues with EAD.

I have a last minute doubt - my H1B stamp on the passport is expired, so is the white I94 card. I have a valid I797 extension.
Can I use automatic revalidation? I am in doubt because the white I94 card is expired and I will have to present it to the officer at the port of entry.

Now I have seen many people filed on June 2007 get GC approvals. Now onwards their number is keep on increasing. Please put your details on this thread to see the trend. I think all Jun 2007 filers will get GC for the 2008 quota. Provided their I-140 is approved and NC is cleared.

I personally think it�s true specially for FB AOS applicants where no intermediate step like EAD and AP between visitor�s visa and final approval. It may also be true for EB AOS applicants where EAD hasn�t been issued and H1 extension hasn�t filled.

I think it can actually create huge heartburn. This is not intended to allow filing I-485 before PD is available. Rather it is to introduce one more hoop to jump over. Now I-485 will be "By invitation" after you successfully complete pre-screen.
Picture this. your I-140 is approved. YOu fill the pre-screen registration. They are supposed to do backgrond, EVL, name check etc etc... During all of this, you did not actually file I-485. Suddenly your PD becomes current becuase DOS has moved dates forward so as not to waste Visas. Still you cannot file I-485 because your pre-screen is not complete.
Basically their processing bottleneck will be shifted to pre-screen and potentially take away the interim benefits of EAD and AP even if they would be otherwise qualified to file for 485.
