Eric Roth

From Wiki
Eric Roth (born 22 March 1945) is an American screenwriter. He won the Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay for Forrest Gump (My favorite movie of all time). He also co-wrote the screenplay for Michael Mann's The Insider and for the Steven Spielberg film Munich.

Roth is also the beast who put together the screenplay for The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, which will probably get him a second Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay.

According to the LA Times: Roth was nominated Thursday for a Golden Globe award as screenwriter of "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button." And that same day, he learned that he lost all his retirement money to Bernard Madoff's alleged $50-billion Ponzi scheme.
